Selling | Trading Items

FOR SALE  / FOR TRADE POST ON FACEBOOK:

The Seller / Trader should include the following information in their post, as well as a photo of the item:

***FOR SALE*** or ***FOR TRADE*** or ***FOR SALE or TRADE***  (right at the beginning of the post)

Item and Description:

Any Payment/Shipping Notes

FOR SALE or FOR TRADE POSTING INSTRUCTIONS:

SHIPPING:  It is up to the seller / trader if they want to ship internationally or not.  It needs to be noted in the original post.

SELLING FORMAT:  It is recommended to shut off the “Selling Format” option since it causes issues with posting in the comments section and also does not allow you to view photo descriptions and comments.

SOLD or TRADED:  Add ***SOLD*** or ***TRADED*** to the beginning of the main post once item is no longer available.

COMMENTS: It is recommended to shut off commenting once Sale or Trade is Finalized

ENFORCING PAYMENT/SHIPPING: The Site Admin cannot enforce the payment or the shipping of an item.  This is handled between the two parties directly.

NOTE: eBay allows payment up to 4 days (96 hours) on a sold item.  The Patch Page recommends that 2 days (48 hours) is more than ample time to receive a payment for an item that was sold.  If payment is not received within a reasonable time-frame, the seller should inform the bidder that he is moving on and putting the item back up for sale.
