A bit about me:

At four years old, I started in Royal Rangers (RR) by unofficially attending my first RR event, 1998 New Jersey’s Southern Division Pow Wow, accompanied by my father. I am proudly a third-generation Ranger. Additionally, my brother and three cousins in Alabama are involved as well, so the Churches have made RR and family a thing! Growing up, I lived and breathed all things Rangers. I completed all of my boyhood advancement trails (Straight Arrows, Buckaroos, Discovery Rangers, & Adventure Rangers) and then served as a Junior commander in my outpost when no Expedition Ranger age group was available to me. Today, I hold several different positions on Sectional and District levels. I have always enjoyed pushing myself for advancement and leadership opportunities such as earning my Gold Medal of Achievement (GMA #5864) and achieving several Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship (FCF) Scout positions and terms, including National FCF Scout from 2011-2013. My time on National Staff opened my eyes to a whole world of Royal Rangers outside of my home District, Peninsular Florida. As a result of attending the 50th Anniversary Camporama in 2012 while serving on National Staff and getting the honor of working the National FCF Museum at the event, my love for patch collecting was sparked!

I left the Camporama event with what I thought at the time to be the complete patch set. I thought to myself, what other patch sets can I acquire? How do I go about connecting with other Rangers who are interested in patch collecting? Subsequently, I chose to create the RR/FCF Patch Collectors Facebook Group (more aptly nicknamed “The Patch Page”). The group started small with just those on my Facebook friends list but quickly grew as others around the country, and later, the world, became more and more involved. On the cusp of the group’s 10th Anniversary, myself and the other Group Administrators designed a series of patches to commemorate the page’s anniversary, promote the page to others through advertising, and create a series of Virtual Skillaramas for the members to earn. Serving the members of the group as an Admin and watching the tangibility of our page come to fruition through a line of patches has been the biggest highlight for me. I am so proud of everyone’s involvement and look forward to many more years of collecting and fellowship!
